I hardly think Iron Lake is a forgotten book. It won both the 1998 Anthony and Barry Awards and since then William Kent Krueger has won several other awards for his series featuring Cork O’Connor. IMO it’s one of the best series being published.

I love it when authors whom I enjoy are also genuinely nice people (not all of them are, as I am sure you know.)

Not that this probably matters much to the people encountering his wonderfully written fiction, but Kent is also a really nice guy. The great thing is that he does what we fiction writers all dream about–he gets better and better.
